I graduated from University of East Anglia with a degree in Photography, and immediately started work as a freelance press photographer at The Lancashire Evening Telegraph. Working for a daily newspaper with tight deadlines, I quickly learnt to handle a huge variety of jobs and how to take the type of pictures that keep Picture Editors happy.
During my degree, I spent a month following the Moscow State Circus, and in my 22 years as a professional photographer, I have worked with many varied subjects – ranging from traditional wedding photography, community events, presentation and gala evenings, through to candid photography and working with one subject for a feature on fear of spiders, which involved capturing her with a tarantula on her head!
